Amidst the vast and grandiose campus, stands the aesthetically & innovatively designed, newly constructed attractive building of St. Xavier’s P.G. College. It is commensurate with the requirement of academic and professional excellence of an institution of higher learning. It has clean and airy classrooms and well equipped laboratories for Zoology, Botany, Chemistry Computer Application, Geography and Physics. There is a well established Administrative Block, Principal’s room, Office room, Staff room, Auditorium, Common room for girls, Sports room and Library.
An art audio visual room makes possible an ideal setting for carrying out various seminars, group discussions, presentations, meetings and for delivering lectures by eminent professors. Besides, the students are taught in the Audio Visual Room using overhead projectors and LCD. The students are also encouraged to present seminars in order to gain self confidence along with sharing their knowledge with their classmates.
There is a rich and well stocked library to quench the insatiate thirst of students. Students take help in preparing their notes/answers and other teaching materials as well as authentic standard books available in the library. Important dailies, weeklies, journals, magazines, periodicals and encyclopedia are available in the library. Students are encouraged to sit and read in the reading room adjacent to the library.
The college has a computer lab equipped with over 30 latest computer systems providing internet & multimedia facilities; helping students to use the power of the internet to discover the latest in their fields. Students have access to a variety of mainstream PC software, including industry standard application packages, growing range of Windows-based software and discipline-specific software. Lab is manned with best faculty and assistants having good experience in the relevant fields. The services of the staff are readily available to the students. The college campus is also wi-fi enabled so that the students can avail internet facilities anywhere in the campus.
The modern scientific era is analytical & practical based educational era which demands not only theoretical knowledge but practical knowledge of every aspect also. The institution has provided well equipped laboratories with all ultra modern technical and sophisticated instruments for Botany, Zoology, Chemistry, Computer, Geography, and Statistics to bring excellence in theoretical as well as practical education to fulfill the mission of the institution.
